What football teams hand out
- Helmets, with make, model, serial number and recertification date
- Shoulder pads
- Home and away game jerseys, by number and size
- Game pants
- Practice jerseys and other practice gear, added as their own types
The football template adds helmet, shoulder pads, home jersey, away jersey, and game pants in one tap. Add anything else as its own type.
Where it goes wrong
- A game jersey goes missing in week five and nobody remembers who had it last.
- Two kids trade numbers and the spreadsheet still has the old ones.
- Nobody's sure which helmets are due for recertification this year.
- Seniors turn in pads after the last game but keep the away jersey.
- Every lost helmet or jersey comes out of next year's budget.
How GearCorral keeps it straight
Every helmet has a history
Record make, model, serial number and purchase year on each helmet. Set its recertification date and the dashboard lists the ones due in the next 30 days, so you can pull them before the reconditioner's deadline.
Number swaps take one scan
When two players trade jerseys, scan both. GearCorral moves each jersey to its new holder and keeps the due date.
Turn-in day without the clipboard
Scan the pile back in after the last game. Mark anything worn or damaged as it comes in. Whatever didn't come back shows up on Still out with a name and a replacement cost.
Families get the list
Each family gets an emailed receipt listing every piece, what it costs to replace and when it's due back. Reminders go out when you send them, not on their own.
Free through Feb 28, 2027. Then $79 per team per season, or $499 a year for every team in your school. See pricing
Questions football coaches ask
Can GearCorral track football helmet recertification?
Yes. Each helmet can carry a recertification due date, plus make, model, serial number and purchase year. The dashboard flags helmets due in the next 30 days and any that are overdue. GearCorral doesn't book the reconditioning for you; it tells you which helmets need to go.
How do we tag shoulder pads and helmets?
Avery 5160 QR stickers work well on hard goods. For jerseys and pants, print iron-on transfers at home or send a DTF gang sheet to a transfer shop.
Do we have to enter 60 players by hand?
No. Import your roster from a CSV. Then add items by typing how many you have in each size and a number range, and every piece gets its own tag.
